About
Postpartum Sobada
Restorative Bodywork & Ritual for Mothers in Transition
Offered beginning six weeks after birth, Postpartum Sobada is a deeply restorative treatment designed to help mothers realign, reconnect, and reclaim comfort in their bodies after childbirth. This specialized massage focuses on hip realignment, pelvic floor support, and low back recovery, addressing the muscular imbalances and chronic discomforts that often linger after pregnancy.
For those seeking deeper ceremonial closure, we offer the Cerrada de Caderas ritual as a separate one-time session—a sacred hip-closing ceremony that includes massage, cacao ceremony, ritual herb sweeping (limpieza), rebozo wrapping, and a guided transition into motherhood. This ritual is facilitated in collaboration with our in-house clinical herbalist and Doula, offering a fully embodied and energetically rooted healing experience.
What You Can Expect:
Realignment of the hips, pelvis, and lower back
Relief from postpartum pain in the hips, legs, and spine
Reconnection to core and pelvic floor strength
Emotional grounding and support for identity shifts
Honoring of the birthing journey through sacred ritual
Restoration of balance—physically, hormonally, and spiritually
Most mothers report feeling lighter, more supported, and deeply restored—physically and emotionally—for weeks or even months after this integrative healing experience.
