About

Prenatal Sobada

Ancestral Midwifery Wisdom for the Modern Mother

Rooted in centuries-old Central American tradition, Prenatal Sobada is a sacred bodywork practice that has supported generations of mothers through pregnancy and birth. Passed down from Indigenous midwives, this technique blends therapeutic massage, visceral work, and energy alignment to care for both mother and baby.

Our sessions offer relief from common discomforts like round ligament pain, sciatica, digestive issues, and pelvic pressure, while also promoting optimal fetal positioning as labor nears. We offer two unique formats:

  • Table massage for deep structural relief

  • Rebozo massage on the petate (a woven mat) for grounding, rocking, and traditional belly support

This is more than prenatal care—it’s a nurturing ritual that reconnects you with your body, your lineage, and your baby.

What You Can Expect:

  • Relief from physical tension and pregnancy-related aches

  • Improved digestion and reduced bloating

  • Better pelvic alignment and space for baby’s movement

  • Emotional grounding and a sense of calm

  • Enhanced body awareness and connection to baby

  • Support for easier labor and postpartum recovery

Clients often report lasting relief and a deepened sense of well-being, with results that carry through into the birthing experience and beyond.
