NEUROMUSCULAR tREATMENT PLANS

A progressive treatment plan designed to identify the muscular structures contributing to pain and dysfunction, then systematically address them through Neuromuscular Therapy.

Rather than simply treating where you hurt, NMT looks at why the area may be hurting—including trigger points, muscular tension, postural imbalances, compensation patterns, and referred pain.

Find the Pattern. Treat the Problem. Reassess the Result.

Neuromuscular Therapy is designed for clients who want focused, specific treatment for muscular dysfunction rather than generalized massage. NMT focuses on identifying muscular structures that may be contributing to your symptoms and addressing them through targeted manual therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Neuromuscular Therapy?

NMT is a targeted form of therapeutic massage focused on muscular dysfunction, trigger points, referral patterns, and movement-related tension.

Will you only treat the area that hurts?

Not necessarily. The area you feel pain may not be the only area contributing to the problem. Your therapist may work with related muscles and structures.

Does NMT hurt?

Effective treatment does not require excessive pain. Pressure is adjusted based on your tolerance and the therapeutic goal.

Is NMT the same as deep tissue?

No. Deep pressure is one possible technique. NMT is primarily distinguished by its targeted assessment and focus on muscular dysfunction. Unlike Deep Tissue massage, NMT incorporates trigger-point therapy, focused deep tissue techniques, positional work, stretching, and other neuromuscular approaches.

Should I choose NMT or Myofascial Release?

If you have a specific muscular problem, NMT may be the better starting point. If your primary concern is widespread restriction or mobility, Myofascial Release may be more appropriate.
